Here’s a few quick summaries of the news I just recently found online about acai:
- Crunk!!! Energy Drink, which was co-created by Lil’ Jon (the hip-hop artist), is spreading in popularity. One of the flavors is Crunk!!! Berry, which contains acai juice and I’ve read reviews that say the acai taste is very strong.
- The Center for Science in the Public Interest, which is a non-profit health group that is a strong advocate in the nutrition and health world, is warning against the free trial offer programs in the acai world based on the existence of fake blogs and fake endorsements, lack of evidence of the benefits of the supplements, and difficult to cancel credit card transactions. - The first distilled liquor with Acai, VeeV, has been introduced to the Dallas market. The creator is named Patrick Michels, who used to work on Wall Street, and encountered the acai berry while vacationing in Brazil. Right now, it’s being sold at participating bars in the Dallas area.
