These biscuits contain buffalo, tapioca, acai berries, sprouted chia, yumberry, kelp, pumpkin, sweet potato, and sunflower oil.

PureVita, which also is a dog food manufacturer, adds acai and pomegranate to their product for their antioxidant abilities. PureVita touts the the fatty acid quantities of acai berries, which is similar to olive oil, and filled with monounsaturated oleic acid, which assists omega 3 to penetrate cell membranes and make them more supple.

Whether or not these benefits of Acai are true for pets, the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals states while Acai is not listed as one of the fruits that can cause serious health risks to animals, they strongly recommend consulting a veterinarian before feeding it to your pet as a supplement.
