Amid the recent spate of attacks on popular websites, millions of Twitter users have found themselves swamped by tweets about acai berry supplements. This latest piece of acai berry news is giving the so-called miracle berry a bad name that is quite undeserved. What happened was that on December 12, 2010 the celebrity gossip site provider Gawker Media suffered a security breach on its servers. Gawker’s online properties include high-traffic sites like Gawker, Lifehacker, Gizmodo, Kotaku, Jezebel and io9. Members of those sites should change their passwords immediately. After Snooki from Jersey Shore was made fun of on South Park regarding her weight, an acai company named AcaiSupply.com has offered Snooki a percentage of its profits and a year supply of their product in exchange for a glowing testimonial.  The acai company claimed it was outraged by the depiction of Snooki on the show.
